| What is a Mod Chip? | ||

A Mod-Chip is a small 8 to 16 pin chip that is soldered into the playstation Base console. We sell 4 or 5 wire chips, depending on the supplier's stock. You can specifically request a 5 wire chip (More Stable) for a fee. These chips don't come cheap. On other sites the price and be over $50 us dollars for the chip and instructions... No wires or installation! We sell the Installations, because we special order the chips and contract someone to program them. We also order the chips from our main supplier in New York if we run low. After 25 orders, we will begin making our own mod-chips in-house. Specifications: PIC 12C508 or 12C509 chip. Clock Speed up to 4 Mhz. 512 bytes x 12 | ||
